Grades 4-9 Wellesley Hoops League (Separate Teams for Girls and Boys) - REGISTER HERE

Recommended League for a competitive basketball experience

WHEN: Starting 11/14/17 → 2/26/18 (Playoffs can run through 3/10)

• 1 week night practice (Tuesday, Thursday or Friday evenings. Practice schedule set after teams are made)  -

• 1 Saturday game

Grades 5-8 Metrowest (MW) (Separate Teams for Girls and Boys) - REGISTER

Highly competitive travel league, Players tryout for a limited number of spots.

• WHEN:Starting 12/3 → 2/25/2018

  • Tryouts held on on various evenings from September 22nd to October 6th. A detailed tryout schedule will be posted as soon as it's available.

  • Playoffs begin week of 2/26 and can run through March 11th depending on how far you go

  • Practice Monday and Wednesday evenings

  • Games on Sundays - (no games Christmas or New Year’s eves)

  • League is for dedicated players who are committed to playing games over February break, MLK weekend and many teams also play in Thanksgiving tournaments.  

• The schedule is designed such that players can play in both Wellesley Hoops  and Metrowest, and most Metrowest players do that.

• Cost:

  • Tryout fee: $15

  • Program cost:

    • 5th-7th grades - $415

    • 8th grade - $395

    • Only be billed for the program fee if your child makes a team.

Grades 10-12 (boys and girls): ----- > Wellesley Hoops High School League

• WHEN: Sunday Games Starting 12/10/17 → 3/3/18

  • No games over Feb break.

  • No practices.

• FOCUS:Recreational league for any Wellesley resident or student at Wellesley High School who is not participating in a high school basketball program (JV or Varsity level)

  • Refereed by certified refs but team selection and coordination is student-run

• Program cost: $170
