The Third Grade Hoops Program
What: The Third Grade Hoops program will consist of eight hour-long sessions of age-appropriate basketball skills and drills (30 minutes) and a scrimmage (30 minutes). Players are assigned to a team of 6-8 players.
Who: Children in the third grade in Fall 2017 that live in Wellesley or attend school in Wellesley.
Where: The program will be held at the Schofield Elementary School gym.
When: The program will run for 8 weeks on Saturdays, with the girls playing in the morning and the boys playing in the afternoon. Dates: Dec. 2, 9, 16, Jan. 6, 20, 27, Feb. 3, 10.
Players Will Need: Players will be given a Wellesley Hoops pinnie for use during the season. Players should bring a size 28 ½ basketball.
Volunteer Coaches Needed: When you register your child, please consider volunteering to be a head or assistant coach. Practice plans will be provided to help coaches throughout the season. Click on ADULT coach registration form to register to coach.
Team Placement: The Third Grade League Commissioners will try to set up teams with two players from a school together. Requests cannot be made for placement with a friend or specific coach. Coaches may request to be paired together.
